Itís not an over statement to say that Yuriko Iga is one of Vancouverís most dedicated creative community builders. Her wonderful, magical traveling community venue Blim, is part of the foundation of this cityís independent art community. Whether itís soap making classes, live experimental music or silk screening workshops, Blim has been instrumental in giving artists a place to learn, to teach and to create. Where would Vancouver be without her?

Is there a piece of art you wished you had created, and why? Anything by Maurizio Cattelan. He does deadpan with beauty.

 

What gets you excited about tomorrow? Yurei, Noel, and bigger pot.

 

How would you refer to the current artistic style and mindset you live in today? Donít believe the hype.
